Nickel = 5 defensive backs
Dime = 6 defensive backs
Quarter =7 defensive backs
Teams in the NFL use nickel the most. The Lions are an outlier, they deploy base formation in the most in the NFL. That means 4 down lineman, 3 linebackers and 4 defensive backs So the main advantage the Lions get with that formation is they are much better against the run, but give up a little in defending the pass in theory

If I live to be older than Moses, I'll still never fully understand the sport. Thanks for the explanations."...when Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

Even when you think you understand it all - it will still make no sense.
Watching Russell Wilson - 13 year vet in a contested rivalry game throws a ball up for grabs he has no business throwing - TE has his back to him as it's released.
When he released it I was like - you got to be kidding me.
15-10 lead, 8 minutes left and you have an 8 point lead in the bag - that should have been a souvenir for the kid in the 5th row.

Even the ballboy was like - WTF...

I think both. Holmes and Campbell have the vision and the players they bring in are being coached up.
They are scheming for success as well.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

I understand power rankings, as insignificant as they are. But one of my biggest pet peeves at the moment is how every local show, every episode(pods) they are just stumbling over each other on who can declare the Lions THE BEST TEAM IN FOOTBALL. Gotten so bad it's almost as if it's a coping mechanism for if/when they don't win it, they can point back to mid Nov where they can declare them the best team in the league. Annoying.
Rant over.
