I haven’t had the courage to re-watch that game, but curious if the refs don’t pick up the flag if that pass ended up incomplete…
Certainly not one piece away, but this roster is talented enough to be a contender over the next few seasons. Lions have primary needs at G, edge rusher, and outside CB. Secondary needs at several other spots.
I would be willing to make an offer of pick #61 for Sneed due to having four picks in the top 100. #29 is too rich for my liking. Hypothetically trading for Sneed would fill an egregious hole from last season. Lions would be getting Sneed in his prime over the next few years. He’s the best CB that can be acquired and that’s why there’s some sense to it. Though adding a guy like Kendall Fuller would be much cheaper and be a clear upgrade over Jacobs/ Vildor/ Dorsey/ Harris etc.
Tough call.
There is no doubt in my mind that had that pass not been caught or actually picked off the flag would not have been picked up.
The Lions were fucked on that play regardless
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on
I originally published a picture of the immaculate deflection -- the ball that bounced off of Vildore's helmet -- as an attempted lighthearted commentary over whether Sneed would be the last missing piece to a championship.
I deleted it pretty quickly, hoping no-one saw it. It probably wasn't very considerate of me for those who consider it a painful memory. Some of you obviously did see it though, oops.

Haha! Didn't see it, but am not salty over it. It happened and was just part of the meltdown.
BTW, I think Vildore did a pretty good job overall last year for a street free agent. Of course the Lions need to upgrade, but he's solid depth.

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
Looks like they are already starting to work on the CB room. Interesting that we're re-signing Moseley. Bummer about Jacobs, but understandable. I read that his tender would have been 2.9M
So the Lions retain a veteran CB in Moseley to have around the locker room and MAYBE someone that can provide value in the 2nd half of 2024. Totally expect Moseley to land on the PUP to start the season.
Still plenty of work to do at CB. Hoping it can look something like this at minimum:
- Starting CB #1 added through FA/ trade (like Sneed, Fuller, or whoever)
- Sutton
- Branch
- Top 100 draft choice
- Gilmore
- Perhaps re-sign Will Harris or Chase Lucas for this last spot primarily for special teams.
Maybe the Lions need to add another CB on top of that!
It is time to re-up my supply of preventative meds for my dog. So earlier, I decided I was going to look online. I have always got them at the vet, which is pricey.
The cheapest I found it (by a good bit) was a website called CanadaVet. So I figure, wtf - I've bought stuff from Canada before. No biggee. Later got an email it was shipping.... tracking number via Australia Post.
WTF? CanadaVet is in Australia???? How long will this take?
Just under a month... that is my answer. Feb 13th to March 5th. I saved about $70 for a 6 month supply. I guess I can't be too upset. The tracking sucked. It showed landed in USA on Feb. 20th and then nothing updated till today 'Out for delivery'.
Lions Fans.

Please no to Will Harris. I don't care if he's the water boy. Please let him ho elsewhere.
F#*K OHIO!!!

I was thinking the same thing....That flag was picked up because the 49ers caught the ball....The flag was there in case it was picked...SF needed momentum and they were going to get it one way or the other.

Maybe include Dorsey and Vildore in that last bullet point.

Spotrac had Jacob's market value at $11.5 million. Once you see that, $2.9 million doesn't seem that bad...
Maybe this is an assessment of so called "advanced" stats because we all know the eye test doesn't match either of said valuations.
