                • Yeah, my friend told me she was basically sitting on the site pretty much 15 minutes before they opened to the general public, because she knew they'd be gone quick.

                  Guess she was right.

                  • Geez, that’s impressive. I wonder if it’s the full stadium (65K people) or just a section of the stadium that can see reasonable angles of the broadcast. Viewing parties for away games is certainly normal for big sporting events nowadays. Such as Jurassic Park for the Toronto Raptors being a famous one.

Can’t image what Vegas would be like if the Lions made the Super Bowl… Madness. I’ve determined that going to the Super Bowl is too expensive for me, but just going to Vegas and being around the fans might be fun. FYI a cheap trip for attending the Super Bowl would cost $7K-10K. Could cost anywhere from $20K-$30K if bringing someone else.

As far as I'm aware, it's just the lower bowl. The sight lines (from my experience) should be perfectly fine unless you're in one of the corner endzones (which I don't think were even available).

                      • Who said Detroit is a small market team? The game against the Bucs was the highest viewership in the last 30 years for a division round playoff game. Thats absolutely crazy

In the sense of pure population? Yeah... Detroit is a fairly "small" market at this point.

But in terms of enthusiasm and turn out? You're not going to find many markets for the NFL that are consistently bigger.

Hell, Green Bay is the defining example of a "small market" that has a massive footprint.

                          • It's a much bigger sports market than media market. The ratings for the Detroit market always go through the roof relative to other cities.

The Lions have a big following due to the Thanksgiving Classic. A Detroit Tradition.
