Chark is out too? Oh man we’re getting destroyed. This is where Goff can show whether or not he’s legit if he can make this squad still compete.
Who’s your non Lions choices?
NB Justin Coleman is out for the Seahawks. So it will be rookie NB Coby Bryant vs slot Kalif Raymond today. Plus I think Ben Johnson draws up a deep shot or two for Raymond,

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

Watch Hock have a career day now that I’m doing this. 🙄

SOL seems to just be the calling card of a pissed off pocket of fans who doesn't understand football enough beyond W/L to see anything different than "did they win". Anyone with half an understanding of football could look at what was inherited and could tell you that 1 year and 3 games was not going to be enough time.
I can't say with certainly that this regime will turn the franchise around however, I can say with certainty that they haven't been given anything close to enough time to try. This was never going to be fixed this fast no matter who was in place, or what they did.
No reasonable person thought playoffs. Not that I know. Well, maybe Jaadam, but, that's his thing. So WE even thought they would LOSE 11-8 games. Then when they lose, people are surprised? Oh I know, they could have won so it is worse? GTFOH with that.
Lions scored 45 points and their D gave up 41 points. But the only thing that truly matters is they got a +1 in the loss column.
So you're wasting your time. They will scream that SOL shite until they can't. In all honesty, there is a long list of things a team has to do consistently to win gameS in the NFL. Now I think they have much more checks then before, but in the end they are 1-2.

The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

They have drafted 10 players on defense, they traded for Brockers, gave Charles Harris a big contract, signed DeShon Elliot, brought back Anzalone to be the starter. They should be better than worst in the league. It's not enough to say they have no impact players, they have been given the keys to the car, go find the impact players.
Find a way to force a few punts against a down Seahawk team.Last edited by froot loops; October 4, 2022, 12:38 PM.

mid to late round picks - and cheap short contracts aren't going to make a good defense. Brockers and Harris have been what I think anyone would expect. They have not really invested in the defense in a serious way.
As for the draft picks this year, they should be decent but rookies take time to develop. But expecting rookies to immediately fix a badly broken defense is more a failure of your expectations than anything else.
And using Anzalone to point to "investing" in the defense isn't a great level of reasoning.
The D line has potential. They do. They are under performing.
The rest of this defense is performing as I expected because they aren't good to begin with.
(Except Okudah, he has played better than I expected).

Brockers has been terrible, a guy off of the street would have been better. He was terrible last year (40.6 PFF grade), he has 4 tackles this year. He has a cap hit of 10 million this year and if they waive him, they will be in the hook for 4 million next year. If you trade assets to get Brockers and then give him a 3 year 24 million dollar contract. He has to be an impact player.
