If they're going back to the old rule where the 3rd QB can dress and play in an emergency without counting against the gameday player limit.....I'd imagine he's going to be in uniform the 2nd half of the season.
But if the knee is shaky at all they'll put him on the PUP and redshirt him.
Yeah definitely PUP/ NFI list for Hendon Hooker. We should hear more positive reports about his rehab. 7 months after ACL surgery.
Anything more than this would surprise me and be awesome news. Like I seriously doubt we see Hooker in the preseason, but again… that would be awesome and entertaining.
11-6 and win the NFC North. Though yes, I will to wait until after preseason week 2 to make a final season prediction. As ya’ll have noted, injuries.
So now it’s 6 days, but isn’t it longer until we actually receive beat writer/ training camp reports? Like ~1 to 2 weeks until that.
Inside the Den draft episode should come out very soon. That’s some actual Lions content.
I dunno if 11-6 wins the NFC North, to be honest. Everyone talks about how relatively weak the division is, yet every year, the division winner has 12 or 13 wins. In fact, the last time the division winner had less than 12 wins was like 2016 or something.
What I’m getting from this is perhaps my season prediction should shift from 11-6 to 12-5. We’ll see… the good news is we will have two joint practices this summer. Receive clues about future outcomes. Like when the Lions DBs were torched by the Colts passing offense live of the Pat McAfee show last year.
I'm still bummed out Williams is going to miss the first six games. Then he'll need some more to get up to speed and timing with Goff. I was really looking forward to watch him for the whole year.
I still don't understand why these suspensions are un-appealable.
Maybe the NFL thought that gambling was a black-and-white issue....But I've already seen enough questions about how the material was presented to raise questions about fairness here. The NFL created educational material that was written by lawyers for lawyers.
As a former educator I can tell you that presenting ambiguous/confusing information while trying to "teach" someone anything.....not a winning idea. It should have been presented in a way that a 1st grader would have understood the rules.

Agreed. Its garbage
F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
My guess is that the NFL felt gambling of any stripe was a black and white issue, and the NFLPA figured fighting that would be a really bad look, so they let it go in exchange for something else in the bargaining agreement.
What are the expectations of the majority of Lions fans this season? Genuine question? Are they legitimate contenders for a play-offs season? Or more, dare they dream?
Or are the expectations like my expectations ——->> kneecap chat, utter dross performances and 1st quarter GBU threads?
Superbowl!
"Your division isn't going through Green Bay it's going through Detroit for the next five years" - Rex Ryan
I think because gambling can become an addiction and can cause some really bad decisions they need to take hard line.
Don’t want integrity of game questioned by bad player decisions.
Would be something different though. Giving a fuck in February would be superb. 👌
"...when Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”
I don't think they negotiated the subject at all, the league can universally implement these kind of rules and there is nothing the players can do about it. Remember that when you are flying your Owners pennant during the next lockout.
I was looking at tickets for a game. Checked the Atlanta game. Upper level end zone $199.00/each. Ummmmmm noooooooooooo!!!!! They finally have a decent year and they raise the prices $100.00 in the upper level. Probably more in the lower.
