Jared Goff: I wish Aaron Rodgers was still in Green Bay so we could beat him twice a year
Posted by Michael David Smith on April 28, 2023, 4:37 PM EDT
The Lions beat the Packers twice last season, and that gave Jared Goff some bragging rights over Aaron Rodgers.
Goff said at the Lions’ draft party on Thursday night that he wishes the Packers hadn’t traded Rodgers to the Jets because he relished beating Rodgers twice last season and would like to do it again this season.
“I wish him the best in New York and I’m sure he’ll do a great job there. But I kind of wish he was still here so we could beat him twice a year,” Goff said.
Now Goff will see if he can beat Jordan Love twice a year.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

I'm going D so far on the draft. Branch and Hooker were nice ... but I think they reached on their first 3 high picks at low value positions. The trade for the DT was ridiculous.WHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?

I think that Swift deal was stupid. Everything about all that was stupid. Gibbs could be good, but they over drafted him. Why trade swift for a 4th two years from now? They should've kept himWHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?

Did Swift have a hissy fit?
A 4th 2 years from now to a team you WILL see if you happen to make the playoffs wreaks of narrow minded short thought out thinking.
It nets the pick as a very slight upgrade. IF his tiny body holds up to the pounding of a NFL season.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

So, it hasn’t really changed the math there yet, but it is early. So it didn’t really change we just kind of put Jahmyr in his own separate box and just got really excited about the player, didn’t really have any bearing of D’Andre.”
