This was in the Former Lions thread but I thought it was worthy of sharing here. Elliott seemed like he made an impact when he played last year.
Losing Elliott is a bit disappointing to me as well. He played some good football and really seemed to play an important role in the defensive improvement during the second half of the year. I’m assuming he didn’t want just another one year “prove it” deal with the Lions, but was willing to accept it to play in Fangio’s D in Miami. I’ve seen the videos of Tracy Walker, and he certainly looks well on his way to returning, but he’s still coming off an Achilles injury. I’d expect that they’ll add safety depth in the next week or so of FA (when musical chairs starts to slow down) or look for help there in the draft.
Someone on Woodward sports said something that made me dislike him a little less, "Carter and the Lions kinda need each other. Nowhere else is this kid going to be in an environment that will bring out his best and that was on full display with Cominsky's presser. And Detroit needs what Carter affords, someone that will make a mess in the middle of offenses."
IDK
Seriously that pic of him at the pro day with his shirt off is impressive. He’s a really muscular 320. I’m on the Holmes / MCDC bandwagon. They’ve got this locker room ready. If they draft him cool by me
F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
I had posted that two posts above. Great minds think alike I guess!
I was going to post it, so yes you’re right.

They need to go out and find a replacement for Elliott, he was good for stretches but he had a benching. Still need one more safety.
What caught my attention with him was when he missed the Carolina game...The pregame said the Lions would really miss his run defense and boy did they ever......Also Tracy Walker was much better at free safety than strong safety iirc......They most likely add a veteran safety late in free agency and draft one also....DJ Moore was signed by the Bears so there went another safety depth piece.
Graham Glasgow returning to Lions on a 1 year deal...Most likely means the end of Evan Brown and probably cutting Vitai....I imagine they still draft an OL or two
Good upgrade in many ways. We won't have to hear FS complain about Brown anymore. They have room to sign Glasgow without having to do anything, but I expect this is the end of Vaitai.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
