    • 8 sacks in 6 games there should be a rookie of the month in there somewhere too

      • While I’ve just assumed Sauce has the ROY wrapped up, if Hutch were to have big game in a Lions win in front of a prime time audience, he could swing some votes. Like the OSU game turbocharged his Heisman push, getting 2-3 sacks on Rodgers while knocking the Packers out and possibly pushing the Lions into the playoffs would make for a great narrative.

        • Or he could pick Erin off again and have double the INTs that Gardener has.

          Hutch - 3 (currently)
          Gardener - 2
          Thibs - 0
          F#*K OHIO!!!

          • Need a Ndamukong Suh vs Texas in the Big 12 Championship-like game for Hutch to get ROY. Apparently the Packers RT is a rookie.. hope to see Hutch dominate! He certainly came up big vs Ohio State in 2021.

              • Probably, but Hutch getting to double digit sacks in a Lions win would at least make it interesting.

                • Shit if Houston gets a few more sacks he damned well will be in the convo himself. I don't care how many games he's played in. The kid has 8 sacks with limited action, that's completely crazy

                  • I know it wouldn’t ever happen but I’ve got a hypothetical question for you bums.

If Tom Brady had interest in coming back to the state of Michigan in free agency would you guys approve the Lions signing him? We have weapons at WR, one of the best OL in football and one of the best young OCs in the game.

Any other holes on offense can be filled with our draft picks or cap space. Would you do it?

                    • I just dont think Tom Brady at his age is worth it for the Lions at this point...They should just keep on doing what they are doing....They have been better and better as the season goes on.....IF you really look at most of Tampas games, he doesnt play that great...His best strength is he doesnt turn the ball over, but I think Goff would move this offense better than Brady would at 46 years old.

Not really. If this team had all the weapons and was right there on the cusp of a championship, and Goff was actually the limiting factor, then sure. But pretty much none of those things are true.

Only a true bum would ask this question. My answer is ... no way, no how. Tom Brady will be 46 next season. The only real difference between Tom Brady and Jared Goff at this point (besides the name) ... is that with Jared Goff the Lions MIGHT still be wise to find a franchise QB via the draft ... with Tom Brady the Lions WILL NEED to find a franchise QB via the draft very soon
WHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?

                          • The Goff disrespect continues, I'm not sure if Jad is aware but this is one of the best if not the best offensive team that the Lions have had ever.

                            • I get it... kinda. Goff's game is not particularly exciting. He's not going to make plays on his own. He's not going to be scrambling for first downs on 3rd and 10 all that often. He's not going to be firing lasers through double coverage in the red zone.

He's kinda a jack of all trades, master of none. There's nothing he particularly excels at... but there's nothing he's particularly terrible at either. And that's not going to set fans hearts aflutter, especially when they see his price tag. But honestly, you're probably not going to find better with that cash.

                              • I think he is one of the best quarterbacks in the intermediate passing game between the numbers. When he is getting time, he is surgical. He is much better than Stafford was at it. I'm not sure how many quarterbacks are better at it. The Lion offense is very good because of Goff, but if you listen to the local and national opinions on the guy, they talk like he is a Steve Walsh game manager. 4200 yards with a 29/7 is damn good.
