I stand corrected on the XPS 13 - does support more than 7 Home edition. I have the XPS 15 and although it's bigger, I like it alot.

Well if it can install one it can install any of them. Just comes down to price.

Love Ultrabooks though. Waiting till both the Ivy bridge and AMD Trinity ones hit the floors and duke it out before making a choice. Then I still might hold out for true Windows 8 x86 ultra-book based tablets.

Not so much an issue of installation - rather whether or not Dell supports it. Had an older XPS a few years ago that dell sold with Windows Vista only back when it first came out. Vista being so horrible, only way around it was to figure out how to get a hacked XP install running.

Well yeah. But there is nothing inherently different between the differences in Win7 home and pro, besides not being able to add the computer to a domain. Sure an unreasonable dell dude might complain about it being the original OS. But I am not sure it even comes to that. The problem with Ultrabooks and the normal Dell operations, is that they are treating it like a normal enclosed electronic. Which means that it has its OS sticker on before it even hits the benches at dell.

Even more maddening, they have shipped me the accessories already and they will arrive this afternoon. So I will have all the stuff to plug the phone into but not the phone.

Of course I won't be there to sign for it so I probably won't get it till next week. :(

I hear sometimes they ship early with the accessories if the phone is ready.

I used the beta for Windows 8 back in October/November and I hated it...absolutely hated it, I will see what the actual release looks like but if they kept the start menu layout the same (or whatever you call it) it will be terrible
