Actually that's a much better price than they paid. They got theirs back when it was just on the infomercials and paid about $120 for it.

You old ass PSX probably got cooked in the attic. The freezing temperature probably didn't cause it any harm (the uber crazy computer geeks use liquid nitrogen to cool CPU's for short periods of time for performance purposes) but the hot temperature probably wasn't good for it, especially if it got above 122F up there for long periods of time. Most electronics that are not military grade will not fare well at that kind of temperature.

I used to have a mobile theme installed but it was kind of buggy so I removed it. I'll look for a replacement some time when I get the chance.
Meanwhile, as to an actual mobile app:

Bugger me! I've been back and forth about which (if any at this time) phone to get, since my old one is getting iffy and my plan is up for renewal. Final 2 current options with my carrier (which I'd prefer to stick with) are:
Samsung/Google Nexus S
or
Apple iPhone4
... alternatively, I could wait if that's a better option (iPhone 5, but who knows when??)
Why did I not think of this thread for advice in the first place? Opinions appreciated, thanks.
pANDs, as far as I can tell so far, the iPhone has better screen resolution (HD-type) and seems to be built more solidly ... while from everything I've heard, Android's (Nexus S) advantages are that it's much more open-sourced, has a bit better contrast/color and also seems to feel a bit more comfy, haha.Last edited by Forsh; April 18, 2011, 06:59 PM.WHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?

I'm supposed to get a Windows phone for work soon, I think that will be fun. I am still pretty happy with my Blackberry though.
The iPhone is awesome and I don't think you'll be unhappy with it. Can't comment on your other choice, though. You might want to compare data/voice plans and app costs to help decide.#birdsarentreal

I'm not sure if anyone is carrying the WP7 here in Japan yet. Would be great if you could report back after you get yours, Deb.
I should say I'm using the iPhone 3G. I've had it for about 2 1/2 years now, and I've had good luck with it. It's even kept working after the inside got a bunch of water in it when I was riding home in a monsoon last year (after it dried out of course, but I was literally shaking water out from the inside of it).
I'm hoping they release the iphone 5 in June/July like they usually do. I figure it's easier just to wait at this point rather than kicking myself in a few months when the new one comes out.2015 AAL - Ezekiel "Double Digit Sacks" Ansah.

I like the idea of the phone being plugged now that has the ability to plug into a full sized keyboard. Unfortunately I can't imagine battery life is going to be good on a lot of the new ones due to the power requirements.Last edited by Tony G; April 18, 2011, 07:30 PM.Benny Blades~"If you break down this team man for man, we have talent to compare with any team."

"4g" is really a misnomer right now - no carrier has the infrastructure in place yet, and even when that does happen it will likely get rolled out like 3G - first in major metropolitan cities and then the rest.
Android is Apple's biggest competitor - I'm not saying they've built the better mousetrap but certainly giving Apple a good run for the money so to speak.
Iphone 5 looks to be pushed back b/c of the recent Verizon launch, but that's still rumor right now. My guess is iphone 5 will be like the 3gs - faster processor, hard to say what else but not the solid upgrade that the 4 is.
Have the 4 running on tmobile and am quite happy. Now I can only hope the FCC shoots down the death star acquisition.Got Kneecaps?

What's your budget and what do you plan to use it for? Planning on getting lenses also? Depending on your use, the higher end ultra-zooms offer a good alternative to lugging around a lens case. Now if you are serious about your pics then it's hard to beat an SLR style digitalLast edited by Tony G; April 24, 2011, 09:44 AM.Benny Blades~"If you break down this team man for man, we have talent to compare with any team."

Whatever you decide to buy, do yourself a favor and at least give www.BuyDig.com a chance to make the sale to you.
I had a flawless, low priced purchase of my Nikon D-90 and expensive lens through them.
Also, if you do buy on-line, be sure to check feedback on the store via http://www.resellerratings.com.Last edited by Panoptes; April 24, 2011, 02:26 PM.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING
