    • I've had the 16GB and 32 GB touches - just listed my 32GB touch on ebay as I've finally decided to consolidate to one 16 GB iphone.

There are a lot of cool free apps via the Apple "Appstore"'

Sportacular, Google search app, Google Earth, Ebay, Mobile News, Air Sharing, Remote are a few

Deb - if you get brave, consider "Jailbreaking" your touch. This gives you access to many other cool free applications and functionality.

Mpeg 4 for HD. Technically h.264 is just an HD video codec but it was adopted for HD video playback by the Mpeg group to be "the" video codec of the future. I only bring this up because it is much different and un compatible with mpeg-4 of the past (ie Divx or Xvid).

                    • I'm looking to buy a camcorder and don't know shit about them.

                      Any suggestions or recommendations?

                      • It's been 4 years since I bought ours - I recommend some sort of DV tape if you want to be able to transfer/edit what you record. HD is probably much more affordable these days as well...

I have a Panasonic PV-GS250 and have been quite happy with it..

                        • I bought this HD camcorder a month ago:

Creative Labs Vado HD 720p Pocket Video Camcorder with 8 GB Video Storage and 2x Digital Zoom (Black)

                          http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B001LK8P14 (forum link built in)

It's the size of my ipod (tiny!) and can record a couple hours' worth of HD video, or several hours' worth of VGA video.

                            • Not on this one, no. Do you anticipate taking videos that last longer than 2 hours (in HD) in one sitting? You'd just move the file from the camera to your PC if you needed more space for further videos. (It's just the same as moving a file from a USB flash drive to your PC)

                              • BTW, I did a lot of research before I settled on the Vado HD. What sold me was the wide-angle lens. It just grabs a larger picture than the other ones out there.
