I got T-Mobile and have had no problems at all throughout Cali. Now when I went to the farm three hours outta Nashville, Tennessee, I had to drive to the next town Minimart to make a call, which i was more then happy to do to kill time in that sleepy town.

whatever larsky
I was just giving you my info, continue on.
To recap my experience here, JD Power and you may tell me I'm wrong.
Cingular - able to get reception everywhere so far, but it sometimes is very fuzzy
T-Mobile - terrible coverage, but in the area where it was very clear, but it reach very far
Nextel - best sounding line, but also prone to dead spots in my basement and at Target and Kohls. Not sure if it will work up north like the failure of T-Mobile.Last edited by froot loops; April 13, 2007, 01:38 PM.

I don't get it, because, like ULF, I've always thought that good call quality is the most important thing in selecting a wireless carrier. Does anyone here have T-Mobile and live in those regions? I'd love to hear what a real person has to say about it. Maybe T-Mobile is giving the JD Power folks foot rubs or something to gain their favor."To alcohol! I was fine with T-Mobile in Metro Detroit, you actually never got dropped calls and the quality of the connection was pretty good, but outside of the metro area it was less of a case of hit and miss more like miss all the time. When we were coming back home for the weekend we could accurately predict the part of the road in which the phone we reconnect.

my Verizon service seems to work good wherever I go. The phone can make a big difference as well.
My old samsung phone would drop calls in the same spot everytime I drove through it ... my family knew exactly where I was on the way home ... got a new phone (LG Chocolate) and it hasn't dropped a call there yet.Forever One!

The Trac phone we got has never hit a dead spot. From the Eastern most point in the US all along the east coast down to Tampa Florida, as Far north as the UP and west to Peoria, Ill. it has always had reception.
Especially up in the northern reaches of Maine. No one had any cell phone reception except for this Trac phone.
It's now the emergency phone in the car as she had to up grade to a newer Nextel, mostly because of the Direct connect service. Her son is in Florida and they simply walkie talkie each other daily.Dopeler Effect: The Tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly. - Author unknown

I used to have a TracFone and it was pretty spotty in Ludington. But to be fair, most carriers are spotty here. I switched to Alltel prepaid (which is a MUCH better deal than TracFone) and it has much better coverage.
By the way, God help you if you need to actually call TracFone.#birdsarentreal

TracFone-------------------I can't even spell it right.
I'm not a big cell phone user. I only use it for emergencies and maybe three people have my number.
How much is Alltel Deb?
