    • DanO, you've already touched on the good part of this sad situation. As the kids mature they'll realize that you are a great father and that their mother has been using them as pawns for her own selfish reasons.

This to will pass my friend !
Last year for Christmas I got a sweater and a piece of ass. Both were too big !

Here's another thing that pisses me off. Ever since my kids were born I have fed them, got up with them in the middle of the night, changed their shitty diapers, took them to the doctor, etc. I've done everything she has if not more and then the courts come along and tell me in divorce I'm not a worthy parent more than every other weekend. I've had to fight for more custody including giving up things in the divorce that were rightfully mine in order to obtain more time with them.

Add on top of that that I did the housework after coming home from my job ...Laundry, sweeping, dishes etc....She never had to lift a finger! and in the end it was never enough.
Now she dates a man who has no car- no job- and 2 kids of his own with one of his kids getting ready to have a baby! So not only am I supporting my "ex" ~ Im wasting $$ on her worthless fuck of a boy-toy:x

As a single man active in the local dating scene (and still foolishly looking to get married at some point), I've learned that "money smartness" matters a great deal to me in considering somebody new for a longterm relationship. I'd been dating somebody for a couple weeks last year, and then she told me that she'd declared bankruptcy two years earlier.

Sorry, but I make a pretty good income and eventually want to buy a home in one of the most expensive housing markets in the country (which is generally a two-income proposition, unless you're already rich). I'm not willing to shackle myself to a person whose credit rating is going to keep me from doing what I need to do financially.

                True love not withstanding, natch....

Better to give up some sex for a financial future-I think?

----------------------------------------My ex got remarried and he has two kids which he doesn't pay support for because his ex left him and the kids for a younger guy(so I was told). He seems like a decent enough guy and he is employed but I still feel like I'm supporting the SOB and his two kids to some extent.

You are a much better cook! Nobody makes a better Turkey. As I found out at the Forum tailgate party.

Just out of curiosity; would you want your kids to come live with you one at a time as each one comes of age, or would you want the kids to all stay together?

                            • I would like them to stay together but that won't happen. My two oldest are close in age and then there's a four year gap to my youngest. If my two oldest come together I would hope the ex would allow my youngest to come because he won't want to stay by himself. She's all about Kellie though so I'm sure she won't do what's best for the kid but what's best for Kellie and even having one kid at her house is money in her pocket.

                              • You do need to listen to Tom, Dano. While he is bad for people in marriages, he is great for singles and divorced dads. People in your same situation call in all the time. He's on the air here from 3 pacific till 8.

Futhermore, Kellie sounds like a real bitch. She seems very nice when I met her. Don't worry about paying for the other guy, that is something you can't control so why dwell on it. Tim McGraw has a songs about that called "Would you like Fires with That". Or another good tune for you would be the old Eazy-E song "Fuck my Babies's Mommas" (he had 6 of them).
