  • I have a dv camcorder and prefer it because the footage can be transferred to a computer for storage and editing.....
    Got Kneecaps?

    • You mean DVD coop, or Mini-DV tapes?

I have Mini-DV tapes, but they're a bit of a pain to transfer and edit because I have to transfer at 1x.
The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.

        • On a different geeky topic...

I just ordered 2 more gigs of RAM for my PC...bringing it to 3 gigs. *insert Tim Allen grunt here*

          • You're all ready for Windows Vista (I think you need 2 Gigs of RAM for that).

            • Yeah I was ramping up for just that reason, actually. Looking forward to it.

                • That's what I've heard. Supposedly it's going to be very secure too but I'm sure someone will find a way to hack it.

                  • Deb, a couple of people at work have tried it out and said they were pretty impressed. They said it was a bit difficult at first though because a lot has changed.

Requires 512MB really needs 1GB Plus a P4 or AMD64 or better processor. 7200 RPM's and above with a reasonable cache.

Ran Beta since August and HATE IT,,,, way too fluffy and Macintoshish for me but who cares it will be forced and I will continue to use it.

If you have turned off the XP shell and use the "Windows Classic Shell" Vista will be a change. BTW don't forget to just get VISTA Ultimate and forget the other 6 versions.

Word and Excel 2007 are decent though if you can get over the lack of a menu bar and big ass icons you can reduce with about 20 clicks of the mouse.

IE 7 which has been publicly available for a while as a beta and released about a month ago in non-beta had a security patch released in 24 hours of going public.......

Bitlock in Vista has been busted in beta

Recommend keeping the firewalls up and running

yes it has 64 bit flavor and will be the only flavor shortly. MS plans to end 32 bit quickly to force the new CPU's with the OS.
