As you spend time with it I would love to hear more about it. I am not one to update operating systems on the same PC generally (I run the same operating system 'till I get a new PC), but what I have read thus far sounds very promising...

    • All of this is temporary.

GOOGLE is (allegedly) going to unleash their Cloud computing model sometime in 2009.

In may end up being 2010 but it is a developing tech soon to be shown to the masses.

The main part of it anyway.

Some of it is already operational through Google programs.

      • Windows is going nowhere anytime soon.

        • I have it as a VM as well, but unfortunately it's technically not VMWare foundation compatible yet and there's a known issue with trying to join a Windows 7 beta machine to a domain, and even though I can get it working with it built like Vista x86 box, the domain hotfix crashes the VM..

          • Does that Windows 7 version have a ZFS file system equivalent?

You are absolutely correct. In regards to the slow to adapt to new tech.

I will be checking it out upon release.

              • There is a good reason for some to be slow to adapt to new tech, it is notoriously buggy. Plus it is hard to support a new platform in the business environment.

                      • I heard that Windows was doing a ZFS equivalent. That would be cool.

That's just the way he rollz.
The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.

According to professional reviews, PS3 DVD performance is ok, but not in the same league as Oppo or even some of the old HD-DVD players. Still, as a total package the PS3 is tough to beat.
Ah the days of HD-AX1 and HD-AX2. I still have my HD-A1 and A2. The only thing I use my PS3 for is Blu-Rays. Man I wish the war was still brewing.

                              • While I wasn't following too closely, I was a little more in the HD camp. Sony's leadership in bluray made me suspicious, they're always hostile to open standards - witness their dumbass "memory sticks" while the rest of the industry has put forth Compact Flash, SD, and now micro SD.
