Wow! SLF is almost finished with law school already?! Seems like just yesterday when he was starting. Congrats on being nearly there SLF. I think you'll make a fantastic lawyer and if I ever need legal advice I'll be calling you, state law be damned.
I'm very late to the T-Mobile discussion but pretty much what's been said has been accurate in my experience as a 2+ year customer. Their customer service is excellent but their coverage is spotty. I use them exclusively with no land line and it can be a slight hassle when I'm home. I tend to have to walk outside if I'm in an engrossing coversation. If I know I need to make an important call and I can't do it from work, I actually drive to an area less than a mile away where I get great reception. I also have a great plan that they don't offer anymore.
One more thing - I don't live in a metropolitan area so that's probably why I get spotty coverage. And when I go to the boonies I get zero coverage. I've also noticed when I go to nearby big cities, their network rolls to another network. For instance, last time I was in Greensboro, when I opened my phone it said "Cingular" instead of T-Mobile and I couldn't call my voice mail.

"And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."

The GPS is mainly for my travel coming up to Nashville, but it's pretty darn cool. That specific unit got some good reviews and is reasonably priced for all of its features.
As to the Slingbox...also prompted by my upcoming travel. Being away from my DVR for 30 days was daunting. The Slingbox will allow me to stay current on my DVR'd programs while I'm gone. It's pretty slick and very easy to set up.
Yeah, that sling box is a pretty cool idea. If you're up for it, I'd like to see if you can use it to share Lions games with some of our overseas, or at least out-of-market Forumites. Does it just allow one connection?
Treating yourself to a few toys with the new raise, eh Deb?
The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.
I don't know how many connections it allows but whomever is viewing it has total control over the TV/DVR. They could delete shows, screw up the settings, etc. I don't think it is something I would give out.
As to the treats...well, I hate to spend the money before starting the new job but both items would come in handy right now, so...
