Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season

Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

  • Sorry, dpat, I can't answer that. I'm sure Deb or someone with more knowledge will be able to help you.

I really haven't had any issues at all with Windows 8, even when everyone else was after it was first released. My laptop here at work is still running 7, and I don't really notice the differences since I have the stuff I use most on each computer pinned to the taskbar or on the desktop.

    • just as there is no reason NOT to upgrade from XP to 7, let's hope Windows 9 has some real killer features to make a real justification not to stay on 7.

I wouldn't say no reason to upgrade from XP to 7.

I would have loved to do that if my hardware would have allowed it.

          • I know. Maybe I wasn't clear. I had a reason not to because my hardware would not support it.

            • This was passed on to me the other dahy....I have tried it with great success. One glitch...If your umbrella is on...you have to sign in repeatedly when returning to sites like this, but it really is anonymous.....As an example...It is giving me access to sites I couldn't access before because of location. Although that may not benefit anyone in the U.S. but the privacy is nice.

I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on
