I believe the age is 12 Doc and I can't wait for my kids to turn that age as well. They've already said they want to live with me at no provocation by me.

Here's another thing that pisses me off. Ever since my kids were born I have fed them, got up with them in the middle of the night, changed their shitty diapers, took them to the doctor, etc. I've done everything she has if not more and then the courts come along and tell me in divorce I'm not a worthy parent more than every other weekend. I've had to fight for more custody including giving up things in the divorce that were rightfully mine in order to obtain more time with them.

Here's the real kicker. She's a shitty parent but they don't want to hear that------------unless of course she's talking about me then they are all ears. If she says it it must be true. If I say it's sour grapes. My kids are smart though, They always want to know why they can't spend an equal amount of time with me as mom. Since I can't say anything bad about their mother or face consequences, I tell them because the courts say so. My kids have all said the courts are wrong but I get the greatest pleasure from my 5 year old who has said on several occassions "The courts are wrong dad. the courts are wrong." It's pretty bad when a five year old is smarter than your court system but the courts think they are omniscient and are doing what's best for the kids.

The courts are wrong in my case and the fact the kids have no say until they are 12 is bullshit. If the courts asked my kids they would all say they want to spend more time with dad but they won't because they are infallible. In the mean time I have to pay for the kids the courts won't let me have so the ex can buy herself nice clothes, a new cell phone, etc. Here's another kicker. She claims 2 of our 3 kids were "accidents". I know the first one wasn't an accident and I'd bet huge money the third wasn't either. I'm not saying I don't want/love my kids but she duped me. Now, because of her duplicity, I have to pay for that because the courts won't let me have them. It's a clusterfuck situation that really pisses me off.

DanO, I'm sorry for what you're going through. Did you have any idea of the person she was when you married her? Did she change into this?

I chose not to have kids with my ex because I could just see a lifetime's worth of nightmares in dealing with him if I had. Although I wish I had children, I'm glad I didn't with him.

I've had that thought for a long time. The wife, after a rough ride to the Bahamas years ago, absolutely refused to ever get on a ship again. I tried to explain to her that there was a big difference between a 950' ship and a 200'boat in rough seas. Couldn't change her mind.

My neighbor bought into a beautiful fishing camp out of Jeuno (sp). He stays up there six months a year now. One of these days I'm going to take one of those cruises up there.

On our last cruise, our bar tab at the end of 14 days was $492.00. That was not too bad at about $35 per day for two of us. Of course we didn't drink alot everyday but on the days that we did drink, I'm sure the tab was over $100.

Hell Gonz. That's only 7 drinks per day for two people @ $5.00/ea. So that's not too bad.

I got a feeling with my cousin (who likes to drink), that our bar tabs each will be more than we paid for the Cuise for 7 days.

Was talking last night to my teamate on the Pool team and he told me that the last cruise he went on he spent over a $1000 going to the spa every day for a massage.

I asked him what was the attraction. Was it one of those "Korean" type Massage parlors where your get "extra service"? He said no-he just liked daily massages.

-------------------------Deb, this is all about money. It's kinda hard to explain but I'll give a quick try. She's always been financially stupid although I didn't realize this until after we were married. I accepted the flaw, paid off her debts, and straightened out her credit. When we divorced I was half happy because she now had to provide for herself but I knew this day would come because she can't handle finances. We agreed to a child support amount that was fair and not only allowed me to do things with the kids but it allowed me to know what my monthly bills amounted to and I planned accordingly. As I suspected she got in financial trouble despite my effort to avoid said circumstance. When she had nowhere else to turn she went into "Save my Ass" mode which was get money from me despite her repeated promises of she would never do that. That in and of itself pisses me off but it's something you can get over. My real animosity lies in the fact she's coverining her own flaws by making me out to be a bad guy. That is her personality and something she will go to no depths to cover. No I did not realize this before we were married. You must have met her at the Forum Game and she comes off as sweet, innocent, loveable, charming, etc. and that's the image she loves. She will go to unlimited lenghts to uphold that image as I'm finding out.

Back on that trip, I snuck some "tobacco" on the cruise to help ease my need for lots of alcohol all the time.

Yes, DanO, I did meet her and she seemed nice enough. You're a good guy for helping her as much as you have. It really sucks that she's taken such advantage of it.
