Any thoughts on what phone is going to be the best?

I might have posted something like this earlier, but my memory is starting to get bad haha, I don't remember.
It all depends on what you want to do with the phone.I love my Nokia Lumia 928, after using a handful of Android devices.
    Is it battery life
    Call time
    Apps
    Stability
    Ease of use
    Music
    Videos
    Camera
    Comcorder
    Size both large or small
    Off contract price
    Storage capacity
    Upgradeability
    CPU performance
    Memory size
    GPU performance.

Get a handful of the these together and you should be able to find exactly the perfect phone.

    • Oh you got a WP, Top? I love mine, too. Best phone I've had, both the hardware and the platform.

Heck even as far back as my Droid X I had been wanting a WP just for the Zune support.

But fast forward, finally having a true top option on Verizon with the 928, It was time to make the move, got it about 3 weeks ago.

By this point it wasn't just for the Zune/Xbox relationship, at this point I think it is the superior platform. It runs buttery smooth, 3rd party apps don't kill the battery, and live tiles are I think the best merging of Androids widgets, with a simple and easy to organize and read Icon based home screen.

          • How's the availability of aps for the WP?

              • These are the things I am looking at:
                Apps
                Stability
                Ease of use
                Storage capacity
                Upgradeability
                CPU performance
                Memory size
                GPU performance.

I don't really need a great camera, phone battery life doesn't bother me, I don't have an iTunes account anymore and don't really listen to music outside of Spotify on my computer. Size and cost won't bother me either.
But hey, if my next phone had all of those.. the more the better. I'm getting a phone that comes out in August or September so I'm assuming the camera will be "good enough." and for some reason I have to have the "newest thing" when it comes to phone. I don't really want to buy a Samsung S4 in August when it came out 5 months ago. Just a weird thing about me...

Now Xbox Music. I have always have had a general distaste for Apple so it was my solution. But Honestly up till they killed off the hardware in 2010 and stop investing in the ecosystem it was from 2006-2010 a fantastic service for most probably a little ahead of its time.

It's not terrible, I haven't run into to too much that I needed that wasn't available or already on the phone. That said is at 3% of the market, there is going to be a large absence of Very specific apps. Like for example, I have a Chase app, but no Capitalone app, also no app for my credit union even though my Android had one. Big companies are not going to develop an app for a small niche like that unless MS pays them to, or they have a bored development team.

I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

Okay so looks Like a Newer Android launching or soon to have 4.3 that will also have an SD slot.... Thinking the GN3 if phone size isn't an issue. Otherwise there are little compromises with the Next Iphone and the GS4 being the most promising. Specially if the next Iphone finally throws 64GB in, its been ridiculous that 4 years after the death of the ZuneHD phones still haven't tossed 64GB enough and no one has gone any higher that.

Which is why I loved mine while I had it. Just to bad that across the board it looks like less and less phones will have SD slot. Which is why I want to see more built in storage, but everyone has been holding steady for 3-4 years now. We should be at 64GB standard and 128 in a few devices.

                              • So for some stupid reason (probably drinking related) I had my Galaxy S3 in the pocket of my swimsuit standing around the boat on the sandbar on the 4th of July. I walked around the back of the boat and it went underwater for a good 20 seconds.

Pulled the battery out and let it dry for a day, and it worked again... Just recently, I've realized that the gyro has seized up. The phone does not switch to landscape orientation when I turn it sideways.

I'll have to see if I can open it up and free that moving part...
The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.
