THE STEE,
Did you see the research that said men are built to ignore their spouses?

Dr. William Glasser has described this behavior for years in his work on Choice Theory.
The gist of it is that most people destroy their relationships by attempting to gain control over one another. And most people resent attempts to be controlled.
I witness over and over again marriages based on control - I call them "token relationships" where the two are actively trading off tokens of "you got to do this, then I get to do that" or "you always get to do this, and I don't get to do that..."The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.

That describes Kellie perfectly. She was always saying if you get to do this I get to do that. Especially when it came to hunting. I've been hunting since I was a kid and always took the first week or so off. My first year, and everyone there after, after we were married she always had to get to do something because I took a week to go hunting. She couldn't just be happy I was doing something I enjoyed she had to do something to make it even.

That sounds about right for most chicks. The way I would have looked at it is you get 2 vacations from her.

I don't think so Doggie. I'll agree most women I've dated, and wives of men I know, try to change their man which I think is stupid. If you don't like him the way he is find someone else. If you don't want to find someone else then accept him the way he is. I've never dated another woman who had to have something equal to or better than everything I had. If I got a new vehicle Kellie had to get one even though she didn't have a downpayment and had to finance the whole thing which she couldn't afford. If friends called and wanted to go out then she HAD to have a night out as well. It was really childish to be honest.

My ex was alot like Kellie.
Leti is a gem! She has never said "NO" to something I really want (which isn't alot of things), has always supported me...even if she didn't agree with my position and we always talk things through first before making a decision.
Plus she's my baby's mama..and she's a terrific mama!!! I'm lucky to have her.

About a year before my wife of 40 years passed on I asked her something that suddenly dawned on me. In all the years I've know her (46), I have never heard her complain about anything, nor make any demands.
I asked her how come she never complained about anything. She said; "I'm not a complainer". She was the quiet type and kept everything inside. You never knew what she was thinking.
I'm just the opposite. If it's on my mind, I want to talk about it right now. If there's a problem. I want to take care of it ASAP. If I have an opinion about something, you will hear it (as you all know by now).
She was a great Lady, Mother & Grandmother! I was most certainly a lucky guy to share a life with such a wonderful person.
Just wish I could have had another 50 years with her.
