I'm waiting for the user report on the popcorn maker. I'm uncertain on how the butter melting doesn't leave you with a core of soft over buttered popcorn and the rest bone dry.

Okay, I tried it. I lined the bottom with popcorn kernels and put a quarter stick of butter on the top. Threw it in the microwave for about 3 and a half minutes total, I think.
The butter was all melted before it started popping. So basically, it popped in a sea of butter. But it worked out just fine. Was not soggy at all and is very tasty.#birdsarentreal

Yep, nearly every kernel popped, none were burnt. I stopped microwaving when the time between pops slowed.
I would not say better tasting than the bags as I've had some that are quite tasty. But the bags are not very healthy, both nutritionally and chemically. It turned out well and I was very satisfied with the taste, again using a quarter stick of butter with it...
I think it will be cheaper in the long run, but there is the up front cost of purchasing the maker, so the ROI point is out there a ways.#birdsarentreal

You will run into a web page or two that it doesn't work with from time to time though.Rashean Mathis: "I'm an egg guy. Last year we didn't have (the omelet station). I didn't complain, but I was dying inside."
