NFL and the refs are going to do everything in their power to see the FUCKING Chiefs win another SB. Combine that with their undeserved luck and you have your winner. The LUCK difference between the Lions and the Chiefs is 180 degrees. Penalty calls are no different.

As the season continues to expand, there's a degree that the teams that make deep playoff runs are increasingly going to be the ones that avoid the injury bug the best.
Sure, it's already this way to no small extent... but the more games they add to the schedule, the more that is going to become a factor.

Yes, that fourth down spot was (yet another) reputation call that went the Chiefs way. The problem with saying it was the deciding factor is the presumption that Buffalo would have done anything particularly significant by getting the call.
At some point, the Bills needed to take the game out of the refs hands there. They needed that conversion to be indisputable. It sucks, and it's not fair, but it's never going to change.

Oh, and we might just have to be prepared for this Chefs shit for the next 5-6 years. Spags is 65, despite the Raiders hiring Peter Carroll, he may have missed his window to get another HC job. So it could be that he and Reid just ride the Mahomes train until until it doesn't run anymore.

Maybe, but they aren't immune to the laws of the salary cap and the randomness of the draft. I'm sure they will be near the top of the league as long as Reid and Mahomes are there but one of these teams in the AFC will get better. Reid just called a better game, he schemed open a couple receivers when they needed to run out the clock. I'm not sure what the Bills were doing on their last drive.
I think the spot is a sign of the incompetence of the league. This preseason they tried a chip in the ball and it was a disaster.

"I think the spot is a sign of the incompetence of the league."
Someone took a photo and it shows the runner is clearly a good foot past the 40 yard line and still they cant get it right...I was really hoping the Lions would win it all this year so I can move on from football. Every year they come up with more ridiculous rules and it gets harder to watch.

Watching the Eagles- Commanders game made me even sicker because of what happened in Ford Field 8 days ago, the Eagles rolled the commanders like they were a college team yesterday.
Damn did the Lions miss an opportunity.Brand New Detroit Lions
