Ravens defense letting Pittsburgh hang around. Both the Ravens and the Lions are in the same boat. Both arguably have the best offense in the league but bad defenses, but I have a bit more confidence in ours than what Baltimore has out there right now.

All it takes is a good draft. But they need to get a better quarterback.

The Steelers strength in the NFL is they are well prepared for every game in the regular season and they wait for other team to make mistakes. That shit isn't successful in the playoffs. You might be able to win a game, but that doesn't work for the whole playoffs. The Steeler game plan had a mid-October regular season vibe. Base defenses, cowardly punts, no trick plays. You can'tnas an underdog in the playoffs that way

That stretch of 15 running plays in a row surprised me. It certainly gassed the Pittsburgh D. Having a running QB that can also run quickly really makes it hard to defend.

Remember MCDC's first year when they played the eventual SB champion Rams. Lions were completely overmatched in every facet, so Campbell played to win. Onside kicks, fake punts, etc. He did everything he could to get more posessions because he knew if he played it straight, the team had no chance.

It's the smart thing to do because anything else would have been a guaranteed loss.

Yep Steelers have some other problems, but they need a QB.

They'll be mediocre until they get one. They're kind of in purgatory. Too good to get a top draft pick and too bad to make any noise in the postseason.

Steelers offensive line is young and banged up.

Pittsburgh isn’t so banged up as, say, Detroit. But the Steeler OL is really banged-up and it showed against the Ravens. This Ravens defense is vulnerable, but got four sacks and pitched a shutout until the game was out of hand.

Feels like taking down Baltimore this year has meant playing keepaway. Ravens had a 40/20 TOP edge against Pittsburgh last night, f’rinstance. And, when the Ravens beat Buffalo 35-10 earlier this year, Henry ran for 199. But the Ravens actually won TOP and/or ran more plays in most of their losses.
