  • Somewhere in a Bears message board like this one they are pitching a fit about screwing up the draft pick.

          • These late season frozen tundra games aren't going Green Bay's way anymore.

            • The Bears were utterly clueless there and then they have a moment of brilliance that got them in position for a field goal. I'm not sure what the Pack were doing there. You are supposed to guard the sidelines but you can leave the middle of the field that open.

              • Must be thrilling for the Bears to knock off the best team in the NFC.

                    • Wow, these teams and their late game management. I get you have some young QBs in the league, but come on... even a rookie QB should know where the play clock is.

                      • Tampa wins and McVay is still stupid. Minn ( or Detroit) will win in round one.
They key to the Super Bowl is ADVANCing in the playoffs

McVay's thought process is: It is more important for my critical players to get that extra week off before the playoffs begin, and two of those big three are going to be in our way no matter what. If it comes to that, might as well take one of them at home at SoFi.

His logic makes sense. You want it to be stupid because you don't want the Lions to have to go to LA if they lose tonight.

Exactly. The NFL wants a Lions vs Stafford part 3. I wouldn’t be surprised if McVay loses on purpose to potentially set that matchup up. They can beat the Vikings too if it comes down to it because they did beat them once. There’s nothing more scary than facing a well rested Stafford with Kupp, Puka, and company during playoff time. While I do think the Lions can weather that storm if they do lose tonight. I don’t think the Vikings can

The result has nothing to do with what the NFL wants.

McVay is not losing games on purpose.
