  • Big Play Slay being out is not good. That’s huge for the Eagles secondary

    • Now, can the Rams defense do... anything, really?

      • Not only is McVay vain, he is very stubborn. Quit trying to run the ball, don't even play action pass. Let Stafford cook like he did against the Lions.

          Apparently not.

            • No lie but if the Lions by how they played today went against this Eagles team by how they played at this current moment they would lose to these Eagles. The Eagles have a good pass rush and we struggle to even generate one.

These Eagles are looking to be a problem and they showing they are not to be taken lightly and are very physical, but these are the Rams and there’s still alot of football to be played. Eagles still have to face the Ravens and Lamar that can make any defense look silly who are still considered contenders despite only winning 7 games. Lions have to make a statement against the Bears Thursday.

              • No they wouldn't, the Lions won by 18 in a game where they were playing very vanilla waiting for the Thanksgiving game. Today's game was one of the most impressive of the bunch. The defense is good and they ground the Colts to bits on the ground.

Philly looks good here because the Rams' OL is fucking awful.

                  • Yeah, judging from what I saw, the Lions really could not have been arsed to do much more than base looks with relatively bread and butter plays, and still won by double digits.

The key to beating the Eagles isn't stopping Hurts. It's stopping Barkley, and that's fortunate for the Lions, because stopping the run is something they do very well defensively. Offensively, they've arguably got more firepower all around than the Rams, and LA is moving the ball.

Philly isn't a bad matchup for Detroit. If anything, it's the other way around.

                      • I'm laughing at this game because the Rams' offensive line looks so bad. We thought the Lions line was subpar today especially at pass blocking, but that is picking nits compared to this abomination.

One would say Hurts is a problem also but the Lions this year has found a way to contain mobile QB’s and having success in not making sure they don’t get out of the pocket and burn you for chucks of yards

                          • The Rams are pretty much exactly what their record says they are. Reminds me of past Lion teams.

                            • Hurts is not throwing it well - but he has not had to. The ground game and his scramble ability have been enough.

Brown is legit and he is underused. Lions have played eagles close over the years. This year Detroit looks better.

That pass rush and run game is good. Overall, Detroit is the better team.
