The Fansided “articles” are the worst (best?) example of this. Seems like they let any dumbass write on those. Saw one in like week 3 that was “Lions Regretting High Priced Acquisition Already” and I admit it got me and clicked in the link and it was about Carlton Davis. Don’t know if it was Bucs fan trying to make themselves feel better or just a random moron.

Those clickbait headlines are even worse in the EPL because of the transfer market. Any little random comment by anyone becomes a full page article.
Someone is always sending a message to another player or team! The headline always takes pain of not identifying in the headline who is sending this message or what the message is. Or they have a blunt reaction!

Most of the time when you are up a couple of touchdowns the Lions will let you run the ball.
The funny thing about the Texans game was when they reported that Joe Mixon slammed his helmet, I said, "What's he mad about? He actually had a rushing TD."
Also forcing them to keep Anzalone on the field is a hoot. He regularly plays 90+ percent of the snaps
Mixon had 25 carries for 46 yards for a 1.8 average. Whoever said that run defense was a weakness may wish to re-examine their life choices

Yeah, in terms of yardage and YPC, Lions run D looks pretty average. But I would guess the success rate running against them isn't very good because they generally shut down the run on a play by play basis, but they've given up a handful of chunky plays (K9, Jones, Jacobs) and a 2/3 big scrambles from QBs, which will tend to happen when you play as much man to man as the Lions do.
They also gave up 154 yards to the Titans which was about the most meaningless 150 yard game you'll ever see.
EDIT: I should say it looked pretty average prior to these last two games. They are now in top 5 in rushing yards allowed per game and up to 11th in yards per rush allowed.Last edited by Mainevent; November 19, 2024, 03:58 PM.

Well, guess what - they aren't jumping out to a big early lead for the rest of this season.
Last year Arizona gave up 2400+ yards on the ground - I think Dallas will easily surpass that this season.

Wow, the Steelers kind of got screwed. Winston threw a pass for the Browns and an offensive lineman touched it. It was obviously grounding but they called it illegal touching which is only a 5 yard penalty and you don’t lose the down.
Make a note of that Lions- if Goff is in under pressure have him throw it directly at Sewell or Decker to avoid grounding.(you can not catch the ball)
Only a 5 yard penalty and not a loss of down.
That rule has to be changed.Last edited by Dan V; November 21, 2024, 11:43 PM.

That was either going to be illegal touching, or simply an incomplete pass.
