Defense (Bears )should always have a guy as the deepest man back . If you watch most of these you will always see a defensive guy as the deepest set . You can literally tackle the back guy if the ball is deflected first . No PI

I HATE when defenses do this…
Washington was at the 35 yard line with 6 seconds left. The Bears had all of the DBs on the other side of the field. They gave up a free and uncontested 13 yard completion out of bounds to Washington. The Hail Mary was then attempted at the 48 yard line with 2 seconds left.
Those free 13 yards helped the Hail Mary become more realistic. Field position mattered.

Also compare and contrast how the Texans defended the Hail Mary when compared to the Bears. So different…
