Another case of a team probably being a little too aggressive rather than taking the points in front of them. Sure, there's a point where going for it on fourth down is the smart play, but 4th and 5 with a short field probably isn't one of them.

I'm talking the 4th and 1 with under a minute to play. They had to go for it there, but it was a run with no imagination where they were outnumbered at the LOS. Bolton was the only backer standing up and he was unblocked because the numbers favored the defense. On those plays you either have to do a sneak or there has to be some motion or misdirection.

If anybody learns anything from Dan Campbell is that you should go for it on 4th down, but you need to have a varied playbook that you can call on in those situations. Most of the time trying to get the first with he-man feats of strength dive plays is bad strategy unless you have worn the team down.
