Carter has been beastly to be sure... but man, what the Lions got by virtue of that trade down (LaPorta directly and possibly the Lions don't have Branch either without the extra draft capital that allowed Holmes to be a little more aggressive in trading up) just can't be denied.

All this Jalen Carter talk is hilarious. Some people think we're supposed to get every good player. Holmes has been abnormally good at drafting guys. If he passes on a talented guy because he borderline committed manslaughter, I'm FINE with that.

Seattle didn’t want that for sure. His last few years in Seattle weren’t great. Everyone blamed it on the OL etc but Russ hasn’t looked good for some years.

Oh I’m not blaming Holmes. I stand by all his drafting decisions, he’s one of the best. Im actually eating crow as I was leading the “hell no” don’t draft him bandwagon.

and I was also on the draft Gibbs at all cost wagon as well. I still know I’m right about him. He’s awesome we just need to use him right.

Florida straight up cannot support 3 teams. Look at stands during the games. It's ridiculous. My slogan is, "If you can't sell the seats, sell the seats." The Jags often times put up a huge tarp over an entire section of seats with a Geico logo for TV shots.

Before LA got 2 teams again, I was saying the Jets should move to LA. The LA Jets works. They are a homeless team piggybacking on the Giants for a stadium. Kick the Chargers down to Mexico. Put the Rams up in Canadia eh, they seem Canadian types to me. Move the Jags to London. Spread it out.

Jets aren’t moving out of the New York area. Their fan base is as rabid as they come

Trey Lance is an example of what Froot hates most in a QB. A guy who was hyped because he was a "dual threat" QB, not necessarily because he had the passing skills necessary to be a QB at the NFL level. The dude simply can't throw the ball reliably or accurately.


Purdy is never going to wow people with his arm talent; but what he does is play within himself, find the open man, and get him the ball where he can do something with it.

Purdy is a good pocket passer who had a lot of experience in college at a college that needed him to shoulder the load. That is two pluses in my book. He can move around and throw really good on the run in the small amount of time he is pressured.

I think his arm is pretty good. We will see how he progresses. He is the rare QB where the rookie contract argument makes sense. He has so much experience at the college level that he has been plug and play. It is rare to find those guys though, it's not something you should plan for and the Niners didn't plan for it.

The biggest problem with the U attendance is it isn't in the Orange Bowl anymore. The stadium is nowhere near the campus and enrollment is small.

I fell asleep watching that game last night and didn’t realize just how much of an ass kicking was delivered to the Cowboys - 8 first downs, less than 200 yards while the “best defense in the league” gave up 25 first downs and 421 yards.
