He continues to remind me a lot of Stafford in fact, because that was something Stafford was prone to do early in his career as well. He has so much confidence in his arm that he thinks he can make any throw no matter the coverage. Most of the time, he can get away with it, but occasionally it bites him square on the ass.

HoF game is tonight. Just under an hour until kickoff.
Completely meaningless of course, but it’s NFL football. Get to see a couple interesting rookies that were discussed during draft season. From what I can gather:
Jacksonville:
- Travon Walker #44
- Luke Fortner #79
- Chad Muma #48
- Snoop Conner #24
Raiders:
- Dylan Parham #66
- Zamir White #35AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Walker looked like his college film. A guy that has trouble getting off blocks but is someone that will be hard for QBs to run past. Which is how he got his one sack last night. The QB just basically ran right to him as he was being thoroughly blocked. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo glad we didn't make that mistake. He will be a decent defender, but mark my words, when they're picking at the top of the draft again next off season, they'll draft the 'Bama EDGE kid and push him into an interior position. He's not an EDGE.
It was funny, when he got that... sack, Huckleberry said, "There ya go. They got their play they needed." Because that was the best he did. He was consistently blocked and had no pass rush moves. None.
I have no doubts that Aiden is a better player. Thank God for fools.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

Travon Walker gives me Ziggy Ansah vibes… casually watched last night. You can see how raw he is from a technical standpoint, but the physical tools are there for long term upside.
Zamir White is someone that popped yesterday. Shared the Georgia backfield with James Cook last season. Keeping an eye on Zamir… or as they call, “Zeus.”AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

He is a good defender that would be great as a LB. But I just think they are putting that square peg in a round hole and it's not going to serve him or their team the good it would if they used him to his strengths. Keep him clean (where he doesn't have to get off blocks and he just uses his speed to get to the ball.
Nope. They used pick #1.1 on him and a LB isn't the position that should be drafted that high. So they're forcing him to be something he's not.
I'm glad it isn't our problem.

After they draft Anderson next April, they'll move him away from the Edge. He!l, with Key and Josh, they may move him inside by the end of the year. But, he'll definitely be off the edge by this time next year.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. Ziggy was really good and then when he finally got to a Pro Bowl level output, injuries made him vanish like a phantom in the night.
There is also a big draft position difference between the two. Walker at #5 is a lot more sound pick, it's a big gamble at #1 when you have two other pass rushers that had production.Last edited by froot loops; August 5, 2022, 04:48 PM.

Which kinda worries me that allegedly Walker would have been the pick at #2. I'd rather hope Holmes wouldn't be so easily swayed by workout numbers.
Because yeah, Walker showed me less than nothing in terms of actual pass rush technique.Last edited by chemiclord; August 5, 2022, 07:23 PM.

Not saying it's right or wrong, just a different perspective. He'll be playing with Ziggy's Junior and Senior seasons in 2022 and 2023 - and won't be Ziggy's age till 2024...
Ziggy did nothing until his Senior year, and I mean absolutely nothing.

Glad to have it back. Good game so far. A lot of turnovers.
I’m not surprised because he was off my fantasy draft board, but damn… Cam Akers looks washed. Perhaps a surprise to the national audience that hyped up Akers high in fantasy football.
The dreadful achilles injury. If Okudah can overcome this injury, that would be incredible.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill
