Darius Slay: I was looking forward to Justin Jefferson matchup

Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has gotten the better of a lot of cornerbacks since he entered the league as a 2020 first-round pick, but that wasn’t the case on Monday night.
Jefferson was held to six catches for 48 yards on a night when Darius Slay often drew the assignment of covering him. Slay also picked off a pair of passes intended for Jefferson and the Eagles cruised to a 24-7 victory on their home field.
After the game, Slay was asked at his press conference if he had extra incentive to play well because Jefferson was on the other side of the field.
“I am not going to say it like that because I am always eager to go at all times,” Slay said. “I take no match-up lightly, but he is one of the best in the world. I am one of the best in the world, too. I was looking forward to the matchup.”
Slay will get another top wideout next weekend when the Eagles face Terry McLaurin and the Commanders in Washington. Monday night’s performance should provide plenty of confidence in his ability to keep the opposing offense in check.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

Bills have beaten Super Bowl champion Rams, No. 1 seed Titans by combined 72-17

The Bills entered this season as the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl. Through two games, they’ve been even better than expected.
The schedule makers did the Bills no favors, giving them last year’s Super Bowl champion Rams in Week One and last year’s AFC No. 1 seed titans in Week Two.
Combined score: Bills 72, Rams+Titans 17.
The Bills’ 41-7 destruction of the Titans on Monday Night Football was the most lopsided result of this NFL season, and the Bills’ 31-10 win over the Rams in the Thursday night opener was the fourth-largest margin of victory so far this NFL season. The Bills’ total point differential of 55 points this season is the best in the NFL; no other team has outscored its opponent by even half as many points. (The Chiefs and Buccaneers are second with a total point differential of 26 points through two games.)
Buffalo’s schedule doesn’t get easier in the coming weeks, with road games at Miami and Baltimore next, followed by a home game against the Steelers and then a road game at Kansas City and a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Packers. The Bills have plenty of big games ahead, and they look like they’re very much up to the task.

It’s bad enough to be a bad HC and take the W/L column further into the basement. But Patricia managed to lose Diggs, Slay, Glasgow, and Stafford during his brief stint in Detroit.
WORST HEAD COACH EVER!!"Well, that wasn't pretty, but it was beautiful,'' Lions coach Jim Schwartz said.
