But a better draft pick is in the mix.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

Knowing MS I loaded up on Coop in 90% of my FF leagues. But those bubble screens are terrifying because your OL sux.
Oh, I have little doubt they aren't going to repeat as champs. It would take a transcendent team to do that at this point, and the Rams weren't particularly transcendent even last year.

But this idea that the Lions are going to have a better record than the Rams is just ridiculous Monday morning QB overreaction.

      • Well, Jalen Ramsey also let by two touchdowns which obviously is not the normal for him. I just don't see a first to worst scenario. They probably still have a floor of being around .500.

        • Ramsey has not been himself since about the middle of last year. He might not be a shut-down CB anymore

At some point Father time makes everyone a has been. The other cast and characters aren't all that either. Like TB the year prior, they played with their hair on fire and got some bounces their way. We'll see how it goes, but they'll get every opponent's best shot.

            • Well one was a blown assignment and the other was Stefon Diggs. He may not be what he was but I still don't see him playing that badly weekly.

              • Letting other teams put you QB on the ground 22 times a game won’t work either. As tough as Stafford is, he won’t stand up to that type of beating week in and week out

                • Yeah I agree that's a problem, I was saying that during the game. Just think the defense is still solid. It all fell apart late but they held the Bills to 10 in the first half 17 through 3. Very few teams are as good as the Bills.

                  • I think they wer more oportunistic then solid. They got 4 TOs. IDK if that's something they're going to replicate every week either. Bills were what. like 95% on third downs? Some of that was the bills and J Allen.

                    • Yeah, if Buffalo doesn't cough up the ball a couple of times, that's a double digit lead at half.

                      • If Buffalo squibs the kickoff with 13 seconds left, they most likely beat KC on their way to a Super Bowl win last year. That have had 9 months to stew about that. Sure you can say the LA Rams with face every team's Super Bowl effort this year, but this is an actual Super Bowl contender.

I do wonder about McVay. The Bills were shredding the LOS and he kept on calling on long developing plays.

                        • To an extent, I'll never be "over" letting a Super Bowl QB out of the door. But I'm as over it as I'll ever be. I'm rooting against LA not out of spite, but for the draft standing.
"Yeah, we just... we don't want them to go. So that's our motivation."

                          • I'm in the rooting against the Rams, but still happy when Stafford does something nice camp. Example ... I was going for Buffalo the whole game, but was glad when Stafford threw the 3 toe tapper to Kupp
WHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?

I’m not saying the Lions have a better team, I’m saying the Rams will have a really tough year. They’re schedule is stacked with good teams in a strong division. Their only softballs are the Seahawks twice. The rest aren’t easy. Stafford’s elbow
wont be getting better as the season progresses as well.

Conversely the Lions have a fairly easier schedule. If they flopped schedules (and OL) it would be a different story altogether.
                              F#*K OHIO!!!

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

Doesn't really matter. Nowadays SoS doesn't mean all that terribly much. Detroit simply isn't that good of a team yet to be expecting much better than 6-7 wins. Meanwhile, the Rams floor is around .500 ball. The Rams worst possible season is likely to play out better than the Lions best possible scenario. I get that you've got the endorphin rush from the Hard Knocks flavored Kool-Aid, but you really gotta cut back. There is approximately less than zero chance that the Lions will have a better record than the Rams.
