How is that particularly better than getting burned on one big play in 36 seconds? Or Stafford needing 42 in three plays?
Listen, I dunno if just playing the same base defense would necessarily be better. I'm just saying that it doesn't look like it would be any worse than a 50-year old strategy that has been gamed to death. The coach that figures out a different strategy that at the very least makes the offense have to think about it for a second longer is going to have a massive leg up in these close games.
