That's exactly right although I think the Chiefs game plan didn't maximize what they had to do. And Mahomes for all of the plaudits really didn't appear to be making any pre-snap adjustments.

They have gotten by with subpar offensive lines but today the bill came due. They have tried to upgrade it but the results have been middling.

For all the talk about how the Bills asked Allen to play "Superman" for 60 minutes... I'm not sure I wouldn't say the Chiefs asked Mahomes to do something similar for their offense. Much of KC's offensive production was basically Mahomes running around extending plays then either pulling some crazy pass out of his ass, or flopping for a free 15 yards when a defender breathed on him too heavy.

I was thinking about how many Chiefs offensive players would start over their Lion counterparts? Mahomes and Humphrey but probably not much else. Kelce maybe but that might be on reputation rather than skill at this point. The receiver and running backs are spare parts.

It's kind of a shame that Baltimore's defense has crumbled just as Jackson really started finding himself and how to work inside a system.

And now it's rather made me wonder (cynically) that part of the reason teams are looking increasingly for "dual threat" QBs is so that they can find a cheat code to actually designing and calling a functional offense.

But I drive round Edinburgh and the surrounding areas with a Detroit Lions sticker on the back door of my van. If the Leos had won the Superbowl, I instantly become a "bandwagoner!" to the people in traffic.
"Look at this asshole in front. One SB win and he's got a fuckin' sticker!"

My wife's family originated from the Thumb, on Sunday's after church we would go to the family farm for coffee and donuts. Her uncle would hold court telling stories. Instead of starting a sentence with So, he would say You see or See. Marko's head would explode.

Can’t speak for the USA, but “ye see” (you see) or “see” is huge in Scotland. A lot of people do that, its been a figure of speech for years. My grandad was a big “ye-see-er” and “see-er”!

But “so” has strangely happened in the past 10 years maybe, certainly in Scotland. Maybe it’s been around for more than that in the USA and the British jumped on that bandwagon. (Bandwagon bstds)
