The big thing he needs to do is know they are marking Barkley like stink on shit - it's a play action field day - especially with the lead.
I’m still salty we ain’t playing in the Superbowl but Eagles are showing why defense wins championships. Hurts hasn’t played all that well this year but when you have Barkley and a top 5 defense carrying you, he doesn’t have to do much. Going forward for the Lions we have to make sure the defense becomes better just in case Goff has another bad game and the defense will have to carry him, especially if the offense takes a step back.

Take either the Eagles or the Chiefs. Remove three of their top D-linemen. Remove two of their linebackers. Remove two of their top corners, and three of their safeties. Ask yourself how good those defenses would be... because that was the defense that the Lions had by the end of the divisional round game.
No team has the level of depth you argue the Lions need. It just sucked that the Lions had one of the worst runs of injury luck in the Super Bowl era.

Last time these two played in the SB, the score was 38-35. Well rounded teams make it this far. What happens after that is usually up to the matchups.

Consider this: The Lions, with 22 guys on IR on defense at one point or another this year still had the #20 overall defense.
They were a top 10 defense before the injuries decimated them.

To win a SB you have to have balance - no one unit can go through an entire SB run carrying the other.

The defense was down this year because they all got hurt and we were stuck with 2nd and 3rd string players.

You folks keep on talking about defense, the Chiefs are paying the bill for bad offense all year. The Lions would be moving the ball on the Eagles. The Chiefs offense has been an embarrassment.
