I remember when the Lions played them last year I'm pretty sure the announcers said that SF has been in the NFC championship game 18 times in their history

Could have ended that sentence after terrible.

          Correct.

Other acceptable answers would have been: passing, running, blocking, coverage, pass rush, blitzing, kicking, punting, coaching, clock management, scouting, personnel management, and fielding a NFL team.

To think that they've fallen down from the heights of winning a Super Bowl a little over a decade ago with Sean Payton to the mediocre and over the Salary Cap abomination that they are now.

The Saints could only aspire to mediocrity right now.

I'm glad that I missed this game.

                • No team needs a strip it down to the studs rebuild like the Saints. The 2010 Superbowl was a long time ago. Brees is long retired, Payton has been gone 3 years. It's time to stop kicking the can. Their cap situation is a horror show and has been for a few seasons. They have to accept that next season and probably the season after that will be rough but it only takes 1 year to clear cap messes in the NFL if you commit to it. But it's something that should have been done after Payton left but they soldiered on

                  • Disgusting performance by the Steelers. And the idiot ref calling a penalty with 2 seconds left. Thankfully they just ended this crap game at that point.

I missed the game-- I was on my way to work today on Xmas Day -- but could you explain the situation that led to the penalty being called?

                          2 very ugly games today.

They didn't really say they just said the game is over.

Ironic, isn't it, that it used to be Detroit Lions games that we had to turn off for decades.
