The Chiefs are the defending champs and they are getting everyone’s best every week. I’m sure it’s hard for them to get up for each game as well. I think the Chiefs are a safe bet to make it back to the AFC Championship game and they’ll probably make it back to the Super Bowl.

Yes LUCKY. The Lions have teams giving them their absolute best as well and they still manage to blow out some crappier teams. This week they doinked one off the goal post and it went in. If they were out one more yard that doink probably doesn't bounce through. LUCK!!!! I'm sick of hearing how good they are when they barely win every week. The fact they barely win every week is used as a reason they are so good. "they manage to find a way to win". Sure that counts for a few cases but not the majority. They are getting LUCKY!!!GO LIONS "24" !!

Kansas City kinda reminds me of the 2006 Pistons.
And I say that in the sense that the 2006 Pistons squad really had wound up completely embracing the "If it ain't rough, it ain't right" narrative where they could just flip the switch at any time. As a result, they frequently played down to their opponents, gutted out wins against teams that really had no business being in the same building as them... and then in the playoffs they wound up getting absolutely trucked by a Miami squad that was hungrier, jumped on them early, and when they tried "flipping the switch," it didn't work as well as they hoped, and they flipped it too late.
I suspect the same thing will happen to Kansas City in these coming playoffs. Depending on the opponent, I could see them getting bounced in the Divisional Round.

We celebrate Detroit finding a way to win.
When KC does it we call them lucky.
I guess it all depends on your perspective.
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

The Kansas City Chiefs have been finding a way to win for two straight title winning seasons.
They have morphed into late stage Brady Patriots where they won a couple Superbowls and lost another one with some smoke and mirrors. Once Brady left, the whole thing fell apart. It's always hard to look good when you are relying more on defense and special teams.Last edited by froot loops; December 10, 2024, 03:46 PM.

Yeah, despite having Mahomes, they don't want to get into shootouts because they don't have the OL or playmakers to play that way right now. So they are grinding things out, relying on their defense and then letting their QB make a few key plays each game. I mean the most sure thing in the NFL right now seems to be that if the Chiefs need to convert a 3rd and 7, Mahomes is going to find somebody (usually Kelce) for like 8.5 yards.
