    • They should have no worries. They are suppose to continue to play at the same level with second and third string players. It's obvious the only reason their record is bad is because the coaching is terrible. I certainly hope the fans have no concern about this. That's foolish.

        • Oh the sarcasm, DanO!

I feel you on the Lions' injuries. Just gotta hope that the next man up can still get the job done while we wait for the guys to get healthy.

          • I think the divergent paths of San Fran and Detroit really demonstrate the importance of having and developing your depth chart.

            • Carlton might miss another game, but for the most part our entire secondary is fine, along with the interior of the front 7. Big Z and Muhammad are doing well on the edge. The N's are doing fine at outside linebacker. It's getting really thin, but so far it seems ok.

Really bizarre to think we have been slumping the last two weeks and not only won both, but a 24-6 road win against a 2nd place team is considered slumping.

                Absolutely

I also think the Lions have done a great job in scouring the practice squads and waiver wire for guys that they are familiar with and fit the culture and scheme and will buy in or already have bought in.

They aren't signing superstars (where would you get them this time of year?) but they are signing guys that they think will contribute and play well or play well enough and with the older guys still have enough left in the tank to be solid

Even as banged up as they are, the defense is still better than the defense that took them to the NFC Championship game last year.

                • Joe Burrow having probably the greatest QB season for a team that is likely going to finish under .500. Talk about not playing complementary football.

                  • San Francisco is at the end of the run for this current batch of players. They will need some sort of reset. It is harder to have depth when these players start to get paid.

                    • Lions will encounter the same difficulties most likely....It comes with winning....brad Holmes will have to keep drafting well as some of these pieces may have to go elsewhere to get paid.

Lions were not expected to win them all this year. If injuries are only reason they drop a few - what can you do?

Detroit is lucky to have the competent coaching to work around what they can. Izzo is dangerous in March for this reason.

Get healthy and Dan will have them playing hard.

                            Cleveland at Denver.

Back in the day, it was Bernie Kosar vs John Elway.

                            Now?

I don't even know who the QB's are for each team.
