  • With Tucker’s misses and the Ravens not able to get a TD this was setting up for an Eagles win.

Tucker missed like seven points but even if he didn’t, Baltimore probably wouldn’t had won this game anyway. Eagles are a problem and at this point they can literally win out because I don’t see the Steelers or Washington beating them but Washington is a divisional opponent so it’s a toss up

The Ravens really did demonstrate that if you can hold down Barkley, the Eagles offense loses almost the entirety of their bite. Baltimore really did lose this game more than Philly won it. Up until the Ravens finally gave up the ghost, the Eagles spent massive swaths of that game doing fuck all.

The Eagles do not scare me. They and the Vikings are among the most unimpressive 10-2 teams I have seen in a long time.

Yeah, I think they are a lot of flash and not much substance

          • Baltimore had a pretty damn good gameplan. They made Philly look genuinely awful offensively up until the middle of the 4th quarter. Not being able to finish drives, and missing kicks doomed them more than anything in particular the Eagles did.

            • Momentum is a thing as well. The points Tucker missed changed the game. Make them all and Bal def is still trying hard for a stop to get him back in range.

              instead there is no point.

They can, but what's going to happen is that Wilson fumbles twice in the red zone, and two Steeler safeties are taken out by an exploding juggs machine on the sideline that allows Barkley to run for the game winning touchdown.

                    Good luck with that.

And on the flip side, the Eagles D stifled the top yards machine and second highest scoring offense as well. Their offense is hit or miss, but that Eagles D is a challenge.

                      • Honestly? It seemed like missed opportunities more than the Eagles D stifling them. The Ravens had plenty of opportunities, and moved the ball quite well. They just had far too many drives end with 0 points.

Now that pass rush is frightening, especially if your QB isn't Lamar Jackson. That could be a problem.

                          • Eagles shut down the Ravens explosive plays and forced Lamar to try to drive down the field with long drives. That was 100% the plan and you saw Lamar bouncing around buying time and nowhere to go with the ball. The Ravens had 2 drives to start the 2nd half that were 24 plays for a grand total of 88 yards.

                            • I'll probably be a lot more complementary to the Eagles' defense once I settle down, but for now? Nah. Fuck those lucky fucks. Baltimore more missed the big plays rather than the Eagles took them away.
