If I can see the facemask in real time looking at a phone screen, how in the world can't a ref see it standing 5 feet away. Also, if all scoring plays are reviewed and you see the facemask causes the scoring play it's ludicrous that review can't do anything about it

I watched a lot more UFL than I care to admit, but their replay system is much better. Why can't they go to that?

I'm guessing for the same reason any adjustment to replay has been small-scale and slow to implement; a bunch of NFL refs getting up in their feelings over being second-guessed.

That might be right, it was the reason they got rid of replay the first time. But they already have replay assist, that facemask was the perfect time to use it.

But seriously, next year watch the UFL, their implementation of replay with Perrera as the sky judge is wonderful. It makes games so much better.
