"I also think that down the road he is going to be one of the better qbs in the league."
------------------------------------------------------------You smoking again? I don't think so.
As far as Fields goes, sure, he could look great against a defense helpless against mobile QBs like the Lions the last couple years. But if you saw him actually in situations where he had to throw the ball... it could be disastrously grim, as bad as anything Kenny Pickett threw while in Pittsburgh. There was a period last year where he had something like a 2.0 QBR in the pocket. That's not a score out of 100 that can be blamed entirely on the situation.
Are the Steelers going to remain patient with him if he starts missing wide open receivers by ten yards like he frequently did while in Chicago? Will he ever be that off target at all while in a Steelers uniform? No idea. But it is exceptionally rare to see dudes as bad in the pocket as Fields has been figuring it out before the league decides it's not worth the investment.
There are not that many defenses in the NFL that don't look hapless against a mobile quarterbacks. It's why draftniks and talent evaluators lose their shit when they see a quarterback that is mobile.
This is kind of a side argument to the Bengals ability to make the playoffs.

Yeah, Time for Chemi to move on with that The Lions Can't Defend a Mobile QB bullshit.
I've got news for you. Not many defenses can

I didn't see Fields run for 100+ yards against too many teams other than the Lions.
I can accept that few teams are "good" at it, but the Lions were uniquely bad at it.
Packers fans thought they would run the division and blow out the Vikings like they usually do. Kind of funny seeing them
getting smashed in Lambeau and I won’t lie and say I’m not enjoying this.

I was rooting for GB. They are supposed to win at home . Plus Minn is ahead of us in the standings.
I still like our chances sweeping Minnesota and winning at their place because we are I dome team .and it helps Goff to play in ideal weather situations.

One thing I noticed is that GB was able to run the ball against them. Minnesota got a good defense but I see a crack or two the Lions running game could exploit with some clever game planning and scheme
