  • Assuming the Lions make it to the Superbowl somehow, I fear facing Houston, Kansas City, Buffalo, and Baltimore. All four of those teams will give this Lions team fits, but I would rather face Mahomes again because Josh Allen is a freak, Ravens have always had the Lions number, and Stroud is progressing faster than people thought he would and Houston has arguably the best defense in the league.

    • No way I'm rooting for the Pack this weekend (or any weekend) - if we take care of business against the Bucs, I would rather go on the road to SF the following week than have to deal with those smug bastards winning another playoff game in Love's first year at the helm.

      • This past week I had a really difficult time watching the Packers-Cowboys game. It's really hard to root against both teams.

Intellectually, I wanted the Packers because of home field and karma for the Cowboys (and I also hate the Cowboys), but I'd find myself rooting against the Packers when they were doing well.

        Was weird, lol

          • Also the 49ers must be thrilled that only Detroit, GB, and Tampa are left...That doesnt mean they have a cake walk to the Super bowl but it is easier without the Philly or Dallas teams that seemed so threatening two months ago.

            • I don't think San Francisco found Dallas or Philadelphia threatening at all, they dog walked both of those teams this year. Both teams were frauds

Agreed. The Lions are better on the road this year than at home. I’ll take my chances at San Francisco

                    • A few games into the season some people on sports talk radio were calling out the Lions for not drafting Carter and taking Campbell, Gibbs, and LaPorta. They seemed to mock the Lions for valuing “fits” or “the culture” over talent. They acted like it was a forgone conclusion that Philly made the better pick. I think in recent weeks Carter has made less of an impact and since those early games Gibbs and LaPorta have really taken off and Campbell shows promise.

Considering the state Philly is in, I trust what Holmes and Campbell are doing. And while at the time I thought maybe they made a mistake in not taking Carter, it’s hard to argue with the results so far. Philly is definitely talented but they won early by getting by and imploded late in the season. Sirianni looks like he’s lost the team. I like where the Lions are at.

                      • For what it's worth, I think Carter would have been a great addition to the Lions defense. It wouldn't have been a "bad" pick by any means.

But what the Lions were able to leverage that pick into almost certainly gave the team more than what Carter would have. The best case scenario I can think of is that Holmes would have somehow been able to leverage the 18th pick into something and Lions wind up with a front end of the draft like Carter-LaPorta-Branch. Which would have been a great haul too... but not as good.

                        • There was alot of pressure for Holmes to draft Carter, and you have to give him credit for sticking to his guns....Brad/Dan know what they want and they werent going to compromise because others said they should take Carter.....Even so, DT opposite Alim was a problem all year long...No one really took the bull by the horns at that position.

Absolutely this!!!! Sick of hearing about it. Happy that they beat Dallas (too bad both teams couldn't have lost) but now they can go away.
All emotions can be traced back to two basic ones........love and fear.

                            • Jalen Carter had a 89 PFF grade. He had a really good year considering he had way more snaps than he did in college. The Eagle problem was the linebackers were below average.
