The 40 year old basket was only after blowing the 2nd overall pick on Zach Wilson. That’s a lot of draft capital and salary cap to not solve the QB position

Isn't that after blowing a 3rd pick in Darnold before that. They have absolutely thrown money and extremely vital picks on trash.

He's a defensive coach and their defenses are good. Granted its up to him to hire out a talented staff (see MCDC) but he can't control who the GM gets him. I'm sure he has a lot of say but having Zach Wilson as the starter is so stupid. Even Wentz would have been better. Wilson is terrible

Jimmy G is not a good QB. He has never been a good QB and is really bad now.

There is a reason San Fran gave up on him and Trey Lance as well.

Good QBs are hard to come by in the NFL. It is no surprise that teams with solid QB play are the best teams in the league.

Cinci is pedestrian with an injured Joe Burrow and are one of the best teams in the league when he is healthy

That is why the Jets went all in on a 40 year old QB and Tom Brady was in demand even though he was well past his prime.

I’m not saying Jimmy G is a good QB, I just don’t think he’s as bad as he is in Oakland. And even with that he’s still way better than Wilson.

You could make a case for Jimmy G a few years ago, but after watching that MNF game,.you cannot. He looked shot. Zach Was Olson is bad but he's not looking at the pressure like Jimmy G is. He looked scared against the Lions.
