Yep. Expect them to dump Wilson in the offseason. Jets will probably be a top candidate for Garappolo. Hell, they should go after Brady. I don’t think he’d go to the Jets because of his buddy Kraft, but that would be fun.

If the Lions opt to not draft a QB and the Jets pick up the majority of his salary id invest a 3rd rounder in Wilson. Nothing more though. The Jets were really dumb in going back to him the last few games, it cost them at least a 2nd rounder which they prob could have gotten before

I remember when WIlson was drafted second and one of the draftniks said "Has anyone ever actually seen him play?" I read that the Jets took him because of his performance in the "potato" bowl.....He has the "immature" label also which seems to doom alot of young QBs.....THe Jets have missed on two top 3 draft picks on QBs the last 5 years....Thats why next years draft I would just as soon take a stud defender than a high risk QB.

I listed to a random Jets YouTube podcast episode from last night just for entertainment purposes. Few nuggets…

- Jets fans refer to their team as “Same Old Jets.”
- They really dislike Zach Wilson as a football player. Done with him. Trash.
- One Jets fan caller brought up the idea of trading for Jared Goff. The thought that our Lions will want to draft a QB. Yes, we’re at the point where another fan base wants our QB. That’s nice to know…

Would the Jets be paying the Lions a 3rd RD pick to dump Zach Wilson on the Lions roster? Similar to the Texans dumping Brock Osweiler??

A lot of these quarterbacks would be better off developmentally if they were drafted in later rounds. Zach Wilson is one of them. He would have been better off with more seasoning before starting in my opinion.

He throws a halfway decent long ball, but there was a comparison to Joey H. I saw the other day, that play to play he looks like a deer in the headlights. I buy that. He might burn out quicker being a top pick. But I don't know if he really has it enough to be more than a backup.

There was one Zach Wilson pass from last night that gave me flashes of Joey Harrington. Wilson threw a pass into the ground a few feet in front of the intended WR. Such a classic Harrington throw.

Wilson has much better scramble ability than Harrington, but perhaps Harrington was better in the pocket than Wilson.

One of the hardest things about being a quarterback is you are instantly the de facto spokesman for the franchise and you have to be the leader of the team of grown ass men. It's hard to do that as a 22 year old kid, some guys can do it but it's hard. It seems like he has lost the team and that's it. The quarterback generally has to be the biggest grinder on the team.

I don't see the Harrington comp. Harrington was a grinder, he just wasn't that good. The team sucked as well. Harrington was aloof and didn't want to be the leader of the team and that doesn't work for a quarterback. So I guess that is a common denominator with Wilson.
