  • I've proposed for a while that winning your division should earn you a playoff spot, but it shouldn't grant you anything other than that. The idea that simply being the best of a shitty group gets you a home game over a team that just had the bad luck of being in the same division as the Eagles is just bleh.

Win your division? Cool. You're in. You're 8-9 when winning that division? You should have to hit the road. Bad enough you're already taking a playoff spot from someone else.

Goff is > Statsford! I'm so happy for Goff! The guy is a top notch QB who had a bonehead coach in McVay.

Sounds crazy, but it's obviously true right now and it's very possible Stafford's body is done. Even if he plays next year, he may not be the Rams' best option.

Looks very possibly like the Lions let him go a year too early and the Rams will hold onto him a year too late. Not that the Lions made a mistake, considering they had no shot to win anything and he wanted out, and there was an eager buyer.
"Yeah, we just... we don't want them to go. So that's our motivation."

          • The trade is doing what both teams hoped it would.

Detroit got a guy who had the chance of rounding out into a high level QB. The Rams got a QB ready to win right at that moment.

              • Whoa. Kyler Murray just went down with a non-contact knee injury. Carted off of the field.

Yeah, you could see when he planted that right foot that his body language said that he was hurt. He took a step with the other foot and then left his right leg hanging.

                    Too bad.

                              • Let’s try this again because these prime time games haven’t gone in our favor in recent weeks…

                                49ers at Seahawks tomorrow night.
Obviously rooting for the 49ers to help clear the way for a potential Lions wild card birth.

Couple less interesting NFL games on Saturday.
                                Colts at Vikings.
                                Ravens at Browns.
                                Dolphins at Bills.

MNF with a huge game. I kinda don’t want to watch it because it’ll just create unneeded stress. Most likely just a scoreboard watch for me.
                                Rams at Packers.
