So you agree with me that the running quarterback must change his game to become a pocket passer to win in the NFL, good to see you agree with my archaic thinking.

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

When quarterbacks can run, it is a nightmare to defend, but if they can't pick you apart from the pocket, the ceiling is lower. Eventually you run into a defense that is going to corral you and you are going to get pummeled. I don't think people quite realize how much better an average NFL defense is than a great college defense like Clemson.

True but when a sheer "pocket passer" has no where to go, he literally has no where to go. If a guy can make due to a first down?
I don't need "Skeets" Nehemiah with the ball in his hands. I just need Rodgers level speed to get away from the big boys and make a first. I think you guys have PTSD from Ware. All QBs who can effectively run the ball are not necessarily running QBs.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

Otherwise, he's looking to beat you downfield for more than what he'd gain with his legs - it's what pocket QB's should do. Leverage the break in coverage who switch to mobile QB for a bigger gain than you can otherwise get. He's been a master of that his whole career - up to this year - where he literally has nobody he trusts - for arguably the first time in his career.

Burrow and Allen (if UCL) both look to have sustained serious injuries in the pocket.
