You see Tampa stacking up all between the tackles. They have nine guys in the box. A run up the gut has 0% chance to succeed.

Coaching not to lose. At the very least, let the back have the option to bounce it outside. Instead, you give up and give the ball to Tom Brady with plenty of time for him.

And sure enough, the Bucs march right down the field. Bucs win, and make it look easy.

THIS is why McVay is a mediocre coach that got carried by a superstar team.

The Lions won't have a better record than LA, though.

LA has a tough remaining schedule and they’re terrible. Stafford is getting absolutely pummelled. He won’t make the full year and that LAR pick will be top 10.

Well, I was referring to the offensive drive before the game winner, where the Rams just needed one first down to end it, and instead ran three no-chance runs right up the gut into a defense that by third down was stacking eight in the box. It was a coaching not to lose strategy that would have made Steve Fischer proud.

But yes, on the TD play, they absolutely had the worst possible defensive call as well.
