  • The Rams are sitting Stafford with 10 minutes left in the game. Ha!

    • What do you think these top quarterbacks pad their stats against? Stafford was always getting judged against other quarterbacks and he never got to go against teams that were inferior to his team. He was almost always on the inferior team.

I would be surprised if the Detroit Lions stay within 14 points of the LA Rams next week.

When it came to the criticism of Stafford over the years not being able to beat upper echelon QBs, it always seemed like everyone ignored the fact that the QB he was “facing” was always playing the Lions Swiss cheese defense and he was always facing a better one.

                  • Stafford was drafted onto the first 0-16 team in NFL history. The Lions were 0-16 before Stafford got here. His first two seasons were cut short by injury. In his 3rd season, he got them into the playoffs. He had a couple of other playoff appearances but no real success. He got criticism for not winning and for padding his stats. He eventually requested a trade and now, his first season away from the team, the Lions could potentially become the first 0-17 team in NFL history.

It kinda reminds me of Lebron James in a way. He was drafted onto one of the worst teams in NBA history, struggled to get the Cavs anywhere, criticized for "quitting" on his team... went to Miami and won three titles while the Cavs literally went from one of the top teams in the conference to the worst almost overnight.

Should have left Stafford in to pad his stats like Brady did against the Lions last year.

                        • Brady is the greatest at stat padding, when he is opposite a patsy he always gets an extra TD in garbage time.

To be fair, James did quit on that team in that playoffs. My man Mattt Stafford knew he was going to ask to be traded and he begged to go into a nothing game because he wanted to go out as a Lion the best he could.

                            • Well, turned out James had a damn good reason for quitting on that franchise. I don't blame him for saying "fuck it" just like I wouldn't have blamed Stafford for doing the same. Sometimes you're surrounded by incompetence and you decide it's not worth your mental or physical health fighting a lost cause.

Probably watching Tua, all that guy does is win.
