Sounds like the Rams are resting key starters vs the 49ers. That could decrease the likelihood of a Rams @ Lions wild card game.

If the Rams lose and get the #7 seed, the benefit for us is maybe they will knock off the #2 seed NFC East team. A healthy Stafford and Rams are more than capable of winning. Give the Lions a divisional round home game if our team wins the wild card game.

I'm guessing the writer is still salty about the Lions being so good and beating the Rams. No way do you rank Vikings & Browns ahead of the Lions in this ranking. I could better understand the Packers or Ravens. Basically, it's just an excuse to say Snead and McVay are the second bestest.

And, Brad Holmes is his own man. He learned from Snead, yes, but he also learned from the others that were there before Snead was hired.

Dan Campbell, on the other hand, is a Bill Parcells/Sean Payton acolyte, so he's learning from his mistakes, becoming a better Head Coach as he goes along in his career.

This writer's rankings will change massively in another few years if the Detroit Lions win a Super Bowl under Holmes/Campbell.
