There’s a chance but as you say there’s a much higher chance he’s a meh guy. He’s not scaring anyone in the playoffs like Burrow, Allen, Mahomes or even Stafford.
The worst thing you could do is settle on a meh guy being paid more than Aaron Rodgers.
Ihedigbo played safety for 2 seasons in Detroit. Ouch.
Happy for Stafford at this point. One more win and that creates the greatest middle finger to the Lions organization. What a complete failure it was for the support around Stafford in Detroit. Embarrassing Detroit Lions management top to bottom.
Fair to say Brad Holmes was fleeced in this Stafford trade? Should have taken the Panthers offer.
The Panthers deal wasn't better and they gave Stafford some say where he was going. The Lions did the right thing for once, they weren't fleeced. The Tigers were fleeced with Verlander and it was evident at the time.

Couldn't agree more. McVay is, supposedly, a 'genius', a whizzkid, years ahead of his time.
But his team has won in spite of him for two weeks in a row now. He outdid himself in this one with terrible playcalls and completely boneheaded challenges. Leaders like Aaron Donald are why they came through regardless.
As for Caldwell: that he and Stafford won so many games from behind - an NFL record number in 2016 - should've told us all something. His calm so often proved crucial at the business end of games... but again, he never had a team in Detroit which was remotely good enough.
My thoughts exactly on McVay. That guy is a terrible coach. I could do a better job.
What cracks me up is how they talk about the Rams being an All Star team. Well Pat Mahomes is throwing to two of the most unguardable players in the NFL. Tom Brady went to a stacked TB team. The Niners have Samuel and Kittle. The Patriots always had a good defense, good receivers and a top 10 running game. You need players.
OBJ's career had been stagnant. He was a bona fide star his first 3 seasons, but he hasnt been since then. Kendall Blanton had 4 career receptions prior to tonight. How is Kenny Golladay doing away from Stafford? Kupp was very good receiver but very few would project him to have Calvin Johnson production.

I disagree. Lions were already doing Stafford a favor by trading him to a different team. It’s foolish to think about taking a discount to make Stafford happy.
The Panthers trade offer (8th overall pick + Bridgewater + 5th RD pick) is clearly better than what the Lions traded for (31st/ 32nd overall pick + future late 1st RD pick + 3rd RD pick / Iffy Melifonwu). Lions lost the trade. Classic.
This is basically the NFL version of the New Orleans Pelicans’ laughable return in the Jrue Holiday to Bucks trade.

The Rams' trade offer was much better than Carolina's
BTW, I am not ready to anoint Burrow just yet. RGIII was a can't miss superstar in his second year and that fucking Munchkin in Arizona showed that sometimes you proclaim SUPERSTAR!!! too early. Burrow may turn out to be the next Tom Brady or he may not.
